Illustration Friday Cake
Decided to buy the most complicated cake I could find to draw, and it turned out to be a hit to eat as well. The perfect contribution to a neighborhood picnic. Done with watercolors and Pitt brush pens in the Moleskine sketchbook. I really like these challenges. Can you tell it's ladyfingers on the sides?

Very nice ! I also use Pitt pens, but I dont like the feel of watercolor on the Moleskine paper. Looking at your cake, I might try it again :-)
What a gorgeous cake! Perfect for this theme word, your party and the weather!
Charming, wonderful little painting! It couldn't be better.
Thanks, Shandara, Teri, and Laura. I do like the way the Pitt brush pens handle on the Moleskine paper. The grey shades worked really well for the whipping cream, a swish and you've got cream, another swish on top and you've got a shadow. Nel
