Last steps. Using a rigger brush, I've done some fine strokes for the hair, and in the background, added the hostas. I've also lightened the white edge of the bowl. I think it's done, for now anyway.

I would think you would have a hard time finding something to improve so I imagine it is indeed done but then I know how that sort of thing works so I'll leave it up to you to decide for sure - regardless, it is simply gorgeous just the way it is and I'm so glad you shared the process with us. What a magical painting. Every kid does this when they eat their cereal. Reminds me of Norman Rockwell. So, well done. And as for your question earlier about stopping before it's finished; I've often that it would look so cool to just leave it in that unfinished state, but I never do. This is absolutely gorgeous.
